What does AI know about snow and ice management?

What does AI know about snow and ice management?

AI is becoming increasingly popular in many industries. Chat GPT is all the rage, so we decided to put it to the test for our industry. To address this challenge, we asked Chat GPT to "Explain what makes a great snow and ice management vendor from a property manager’s perspective".

Here is what Chat GPT answered:

"As a language model, I can provide an overview of what makes a great snow and ice management vendor from a property manager's perspective. Here are some factors to consider:

1. Reliability: A great snow and ice management vendor should be reliable, meaning they show up on time and complete the job as agreed upon. They should also have backup plans in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

2. Experience: A vendor with experience in snow and ice management will have a better understanding of how to handle different types of weather conditions and property types. They will also have the necessary equipment and resources to do the job efficiently.

3. Communication: Communication is crucial in any business relationship. A great snow and ice management vendor should be responsive and keep property managers informed about the status of their services, any issues that arise, and any changes in schedule.

4. Safety: Safety is paramount when it comes to snow and ice management. The vendor should have a clear plan for ensuring the safety of employees and property occupants, including proper equipment and training.

5. Cost: Cost is always a consideration, but it should not be the only factor in choosing a snow and ice management vendor. A great vendor should provide a fair and transparent pricing structure that aligns with the quality of service provided.

6. Sustainability: More and more property managers are looking for vendors who prioritize sustainability. A great snow and ice management vendor should have environmentally friendly practices and use eco-friendly products whenever possible.

“Overall, a great snow and ice management vendor should provide consistent, reliable service that prioritizes safety, communication, and sustainability. Their experience, cost, and overall reputation should also be considered when selecting a vendor."

Chat GPT provided an impressively accurate overview of well-known industry leading best practices that match the most common feedback given from property managers. We were certainly pleased with Chat GPT’s response and knowledge on the subject. But perhaps the most surprising takeaway was that artificial intelligence didn’t mention, or recommend the use of technology, which would help any vendor follow through on this list consistently. Maybe AI was just being humble.
